Greetings Alumni and Friends

As many of you know I have been serving as the Officer-in-Charge at ��Ӱֱ�� State since early May of this year. My history with the college and many of you, runs deep. I started my career at ��Ӱֱ�� in the fall of 1981. After serving as a faculty member, I held many administrative positions including President from 2008-2013.

��Ӱֱ�� State gains $9.2 Million from Major Gifts Campaign

At the 27th annual President’s Society Dinner, ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) celebrated the amazing generosity of alumni and friends who exceeded the Major Gifts Campaign goal. The campaign has raised $9.2 million to benefit future generations of Pioneers.

Walk into Chuck Neal’s office in the fourth floor of EJ Brown and you will find 44 years of grade books, multiple boxes of business cards with the various roles he has held, and much more memorabilia not just highlighting his time teaching at ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) but his time as a student.

J. Gregory Ferry Named to the Development Fund Board

��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) is pleased to announce that J. Gregory Ferry has been named the newest member of the ��Ӱֱ�� State Development Fund Board of Directors. Ferry joins the Development Fund Board that oversees the college’s fundraising and alumni relations.

��Ӱֱ�� State Team Wins Inagural Jon Shay Memorial Golf Tournament

��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) proudly participated in the inaugural Jon Shay Memorial Golf Tournament on June 25 at Brae Burn Golf Course in Dansville, and even ended up coming away with the victory.

Golisano shares business wisdom to current Pioneers

Sharing memories and wisdom, ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) Class of 1962 graduate Tom Golisano, returned to campus to speak to current Pioneer students and faculty.

Appalachian Regional Commision awards ��Ӱֱ�� State $150,000 for HVAC Program

��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) is pleased to announce that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has approved a grant in the amount of $150,000 to the Research Foundation of SUNY and ASC for Workforce Development Through Refrigeration Training Enhancements. The program will serve 50 workers/trainees by the end of the project period.

Nicole Davis receives ��Ӱֱ�� State Student Advocate Award

��Ӱֱ�� State College has recognized Nicole Davis, assistant professor of mathematics, as a recipient of its Student Advocate Award.

Honors and Awards

Tammy Brackett, professor and chair of the ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) Digital Media & Animation department, had one of her pieces featured in the Memorial Art Gallery’s 67th Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition.

Brackett’s piece, Untitled #1 (remnant), was part of an exhibition that was on display at the Memorial Art Gallery.

��Ӱֱ�� State Women's Basketball Coach Gina Boyd retires after 31 Years

When reflecting on her time at ��Ӱֱ�� State, Coach Boyd is thankful for the relationships she has built while working at the college. "��Ӱֱ�� State has provided me with amazing opportunities for the last 31 years. I have had the pleasure of working with many inspiring colleagues who I know will continue to be part of my life. I am very grateful to have coached so many talented student-athletes, who have made a difference in my life and I treasure the friendships we formed."

Pioneers are known for being strong, resilient, and for overcoming obstacles. It's no wonder that so many ��Ӱֱ�� State Pioneers are to be congratulated for their achievements.

��Ӱֱ�� State Open deemed a Success

The ��Ӱֱ�� State Open organized by the Class of 1978 was deemed a success as seven teams took the course at Springville Country Club (Springville, NY) to participate in the inaugural event. The team captained by Barrett Price ’78 took home the title.
