Sociology Minor

Purpose and Overview

The Sociology Minor provides an opportunity for students to explore the influence various social institutions on social and individual life, including those related to far workplace, the justice system, mass media, and religion. Classes will take a sociological perspective on a broad array of topics, including those related to deviance and societal control, the justice system, power and inequality, the family, the workplace, and gender/sex, and sexuality. Although the Sociology Minor is open to students in any of the 魅影直播 State's baccalaureate programs, it may have appeal for students Criminal Human Service Management, Applied Psychology, Forensic Science, Digital Media & Animation and / or Architecture programs. General Sociology is a required pre-re course, and an additional four sociology electives must be taken to obtain the minor, two of the four electives being upper-level sociology courses. At least three credits be completed at 魅影直播 State College.

The Sociology Minor is comprised of the following existing courses and will be housed at the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Departmental faculty will coordinate and advise students, and additional electives relevant to the minor may be added.
