÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College presents the 57thAnnual Alumni Choral Spring concert, under the direction of Anthony Cappadonia, ASC director of vocal music emeritus.  The concert will be held Sunday, April 20, at 2 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center Auditorium on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus.

The concert is open to the public free of charge and features the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Alumni Choir; the Alumni Jazz Singers, the '87 Collegiate Quartet, and Andy's A cappella Armada.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Alumni Jazz Singers will perform the following program: "'Deed I Do," Nancy Schrader, alto; "The Very Thought of You," Jennifer Griffith, alto; "Java Jive," Todd Thatcher, baritone; "I'm beginning to See the Light," Nancy Schrader, alto; "Danny Boy;" and "Come Fly with Me," Jim Andrysick, tenor.

The Alumni Jazz Women will perform "Candle on the Water."

The Alumni Jazz Quartet, comprised of Chris McCabe, soprano; Dave Bay, tenor; Jennifer Griffith, alto; and John Thompson, bass, will perform "And So It Goes."

Soloist Jennifer Griffith will perform "You're Still Here."

Andy's A cappella Armada (AAA), comprised of David Andrews, Jason Augustine, Jay Bischalaney, Tim Fox, Wasyl "Bill" Michajlluk, and Andy Robertaccio, will perform "The Star Spangled Banner" and "Workin' on the Railroad."

The ‘87 Collegiate Quartet, comprised of Jim Andrysick, Laura Burgos, Lori Haun, and Kevin Kitto, will perform "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing),"  "Jeepers Creepers," and "Everybody Loves My Baby."

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Alumni Concert Choir will perform "Sun and Moon,"  "42nd Street," and "Battle Hymn of the Republic."

The Alumni Concert Choir will sing the traditional finale "The Blessing of Aaron."

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Alumni Jazz Singers' roster includes Jim Andrysick, West Orange, NJ; David Bay, Webster; Elaine Burrows, Colden; Bebe Cappadonia, Almond; Chris McCabe, Fulton; Merri-Lou McKeever, Rochester; Annie Peiffer, Palmyra; Paula Graham, Rochester; Jennifer Griffith, Hornell; Jerry Howe, Dansville,Carole Klotzbach, Buffalo; Peter Klotzbach, Buffalo; Nancy Schrader, Newark; Todd Thatcher, Perry; John P. Thompson, Dalton; and Keith Zimmerman, Marilla.

Don Lynskey serves as the Alumni Choir accompanist; Patricia Wiggers serves as Alumni Singers' accompanist; and Rob Griffith and Keith Zimmerman serve as recording engineers.

Cappadonia, professor of music emeritus, earned his bachelor and master degrees in instrumental and vocal music from Ithaca College and continued graduate work at Syracuse and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ universities.  He has authored many articles in the Choral Journal, a national publication. He is also an accomplished composer, most recently honored by performance of his Alleluia, Prayer, and Amenat the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Cappadonia is a member of the American Choral Directors' Association and has served as guest conductor and adjudicator for many county and area all-state choirs throughout New York and Pennsylvania.  He was presented the ASC College Council Outstanding Service Award in May 2000.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Concert Choir Alumni Organization was formed in 1957 and maintains an active membership of over 500. This organization has supported the college concert choir with donations and fundraising efforts over the years to provide scholarships for college choir members.  The ASC Choir Alumni also established the Anthony C. Cappadonia Scholarship Fund to be used by the college to assist future students.  In April every year, alumni from across the United States return to ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ to attend the Annual Choir Alumni Weekend which includes rehearsals, a dinner/dance and concert.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Alumni Jazz Singers, formed in 1974, perform for on-campus concerts, weddings, and community events throughout Western New York.  The group consists of approximately 16 alumni who rehearse once a month from August through April each year.
