魅影直播 State and Niagara CCC split a WNYAC doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers won the opener 6-1 and lost the nightcap 9-3. ASC is now 3-5 (2-4 WNYAC).

Travis Noyd (Union Endicott) tossed six solid innings to improve to 2-1 on the season. He allowed four hits and no earned runs while walking three and striking out three.

Noyd got all the run support he need in the 1st inning when the Pioneers plated three. They added two in the 3rd before Niagara scored their lone run of the contest in the 4th. ASC answered with another run in the bottom of the 4th.

Derek Speaker (Starpoint) was 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs scored to pace the offense while Ryan Barkley (Penn Yan) was 2 for 3. Berto Vargas (Norman Thomas) drove home two runs while Brian Zimmerman (Frontier), Kenny O鈥橞rien (Norwalk, CT), and Karl Kofmel (Oakville, ON) each were credited with an RBI.

Niagara collected 14 hits in the nightcap and used a four-run 2nd inning and a three-run 5th to control the contest. Ryan Dear led the Blazers with a 3 for 5, 3 RBI day.

Ray Sova (West Genesee) led the offense with a two-RBI pinch hit single in the 5th inning. Joe Wallace (Avoca) was 1 for 2 with an RBI.
