Nate Barnes led Lakeland with 15 points while Darrel Lampley added 13 points as the Lakers held off every Pioneer rally after building a 27-21 halftime lead. Klein Harper added five boards and 11 rebounds for LCC.
Rasean Parris (Benjamin Banneker) and Neil Wilson (Fort Worth, TX) each finished with nine points each to lead the Pioneers. Sir Aaron Taylor (Lincoln Hall) added six points and 11 boards while Anthony Cannon (George Westinghouse) finished with six points and 10 boards.
Lakeland shot 38.5% from the field, 8.3% from three, and 60% from the charity stripe while the Pioneers shot 28.4% from the field, 22.2% from three, and 54.5% from the line. ASC was slowed by 22 turnovers (15 in the first half).
The Pioneers return to action in 2010 when they host Niagara CCC on January 16. Opening tip-off is at 3 p.m.
