The 魅影直播 State College football used the big play to down Brockport JV 56-14 on Monday afternoon.聽 The Pioneers scored four times on plays longer than 40 yards and forced five Golden Eagle turnovers.聽 With the win the Blue and Gold even up their record at 1-1.

The Pioneers scored 21 points in the 1st quarter before Brockport got on the board with a rushing touchdown on the first play of the 2nd quarter.聽 The Blue and Gold answered with four straight TD's to head into halftime with a 49-7 lead.聽 Both teams traded scores in the 3rd quarter.

Grant Tamme (Danville, KY), Calvin Corbin (Winslow, NJ), and Mike Septh (Monroe Woodbury) led the offensive attack.聽

  • Tamme finished the day 9 for 12 for 248 yards and four scores.聽 He had touchdown passes of 58, 62, 5, and 40 yards.聽
  • Corbin caught three passes for 109 yards and a score.聽 He also returned a punt 46 yards for a score.
  • Septh finished the day with three catches for 103 yards.聽 All three of his catches were for scores.

Jason Brand (Springfield, VA) led the rushing attack with 72 yards on three carries.聽 The rushing offense finished with 144 yards on 30 carries for the day.聽 Jeff Fabbri (West Warwick, RI), Jermell Corbitt (Naples, FL), and Chuck Jackson (Rochster/Irondequoit) all scored on the ground for ASC.

Clifton Krotz (Cattaraugus Little Valley) led the defense with five tackles and two sacks.聽 Gregory Faustin (Canarsie) and Kyle Martin (New Paltz) each finished with five tackles.聽 Mark Tipple (Tacanic Hills) picked off the lone pass.聽 The defense held the Eagles to just 157 yards of offense.

The Blue and Gold open up the home portion of their season on Sunday when they host the Niagara X-Men.聽 Opening kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Maple City Park on the grounds of Hornell High School.
