The Pioneers had聽last weekend off but was busy preparing聽for the National Championship race.聽聽In their last competition, ASC finished 3rd in the men's race and 5th in the women's race at the Region III Championship.聽 John Sweeney (Barker) and Ashley Fung (Greenwich) both earned All-Region honors with top ten finishes and will look to place in the top 15 at Nationals to earn All-American status.
SUNY Delhi continues to be the top team on the men's side followed by Cumberland CC.聽 Mohawk Valley CC is the #1 team on the women's side followed by Broome CC and SUNY Delhi.
The Pioneers competed at the national championship course earlier in the season.聽 The men finished 5th out of 12 full teams while the women finished 5th out of 11 complete teams.
The championship competition starts at 10 a.m. with the men's race.聽 The women's race is scheduled for a 11 a.m. start.
