Football player Desmond Goode (Johnson Mountain, VA) and cross country runner Brian Gooshaw (Elmira Heights/Thomas Edison) have been named ASC athletes of the week by the SID office.
Goode rushed for over 100 yards for the 3rd straight week. He carried the ball 18 times in the Pioneers 51-35 victory over 魅影直播 University JV for 144 yards and one score. He was part of a rushing offense that accumulated 452 yards on 57 carries. On the year, Goode has 473 total yards rushing and three scores.
Gooshaw was the top runner for the Pioneers at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield (MA) State College. He finished the 8k course in 28:37.65 (5:45 per mile) to earn 75th place. Gooshaw helped the Pioneer men to a 21st place finish in what was a preview of the NJCAA Division III championship course. Gooshaw and the Pioneer men are currently ranked #6 in NJCAA DIII.
