÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's
Office of Admissions is hosting its annual High School Visitation Program this
fall.  The program has been scheduled for
each Thursday starting Oct. 4 and running through Nov. 8, 2007. 

This
year ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will host over 50 high schools from the Western New York and Northern
Pennsylvania areas to provide an opportunity for high school
juniors and seniors to explore various career fields and academic majors
offered at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.  The
faculty from both the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Campus and the School of Applied
Technology campus, located in Wellsville, will
provide academic overviews and discuss career options for these high school
juniors and seniors.

Schools scheduled to visit
Thursday, Oct. 4, include Bradford (PA) Area High School;
Cleveland Hill High School (Buffalo); Coudersport (PA) Jr.-Sr. High School;
Franklinville Central High School; Global Media Arts High School (Rochester);
Hammondsport Central High School; Northern Potter (PA) High School; Warren
County (PA) Career Central High School; Warsaw Central High School; and Attica
Central High School.

Visitors scheduled for Oct.
11, include Dundee Central High School; East High School (Buffalo); Fillmore
Central High School; Mt. St. Mary's High School (Buffalo); Ripley Central High School;
Salamanca Alternative High School; Sherman Central High School; and South Park
High School (Buffalo).

On Oct. 18, Avon Central
High School; Edison Tech Occupational High School (Rochester); Elkland (PA)
High School; Geneseo Central High School; Haverling Jr.-Sr. High School (Bath);
Honeoye Central High School; LeRoy Central High School; Naples Central High
School; Scio Central High School; and Wayland-Cohocton Central High School are
scheduled to attend.

On Oct.
25, visitors will include: Andover
Central High
School; Cowanesque Valley (PA) High School; Cuba-Rushford Central High School;
Greece-Athena High School; Hinsdale Central High School; Keshequa
High School (Nunda); Prattsburgh Central High School;
and Salamanca Central High School.

On
Nov. 1, Belfast Central High School; Burgard Vocational High School (Buffalo);
Canaseraga Central High School; Falconer Central High School; Jamestown Senior
High School; Jasper-Troupsburg Central High School; Letchworth Central High School;
Perry Central High School; Ellicottville Central High School; Friendship
Central High School; and Watkins Glen Central High School will be in
attendance.

And,
on Nov. 8, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥-Almond
Central High
School; Arkport Central
High School; Avoca Central
High School; Canisteo-Greenwood Central High School;
Hornell Senior High School; Wayne Central
High School; Webster-Schroeder High School; Wellsville Central
High School; and Whitesville Central High School
will close out this year's program.

In
addition to learning about academic programs, these visiting high school
students will also have the opportunity to learn more about the residential
aspects of college life and the over 50 clubs and organizations available at
÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.  The Auxiliary Campus
Enterprises & Services (ACES-campus dining and vending operation)) of ASC
will provide lunches for all visiting students.

School
counselors attending this program will be provided an overview of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State
College and its over 70 academic programs, college athletics, and student
activities including residential life areas. 
They will be served lunch in the newly renovated facilities in the
Central Dining Hall.

The
school counselors will also be visiting the School of Applied
Technology.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥
State College, a member of the technology college sector within the
system, offers outstanding educational opportunities for students in its nearly
60 associate degree programs, 14 baccalaureate degree programs, and several
certificate programs. Numerous vocational-technical offerings stressing
hands-on learning are available at the School of Applied
Technology Campus located in nearby Wellsville.
The College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and
Schools, and several programs are also accredited or approved by
program-specific professional organizations.
