Dr. John O. Hunter, president emeritus of 魅影直播 State College (1986-93), met with members of the 魅影直播 State College Honors Program recently to address 鈥渢he power of poetry.鈥 Dr. Hunter spent the summer in Scotland studying and absorbing both the poetry and the spirit of Scotland鈥檚 favorite, Robert Burns. In addition to reciting several of Burns鈥 poems, Hunter recited poems by Irish poet William Butler Yeats and by Robert Frost. Hunter also read poems by students at the Red Cloud Indian School in South Dakota. The college鈥檚 Honors Program hosts a series of seminars for program members each semester.
