Kanellis, a Nazareth College grad hired at ASC this fall, returns two of the programs top five scorers from the 2009 season.  Ryan Speciale (Corning West) netted 37 goals and passed out 15 assists last year while Tony Micelotta (Irondequoit) finished with 21 goals and 20 assists.

Chase Bailey (Corning West), Tyler Baird (Corning West), James Moss (Hilton), Troy Johnson (Hilton), Anthony Amoroso (Jamestown), and Mike Harris (Maine Endwell) return on the offensive/midfield from last year's 10-4 team.

Mike Fingar (Shenendehowa), Nick Young (West Seneca West), Matthew Canby (Jamestown), and Josh Reese (Berlin, NJ) return on the defensive side.  The 2009 defense allowed 11.14 goals per game last year and held opponents under ten goals in six contests.

Joining the returning players are transfer Josh Apenowich (Corning West) and twelve freshman.

After Thursday's contest versus Cayuga, to be played at Corcoran High School at 6:30 p.m., the Pioneers will travel to their southern trip to Maryland and Delaware.  The home opener is slated for March 27th versus Herkimer CCC and will be followed by ten straight Region III contests.  Postseason begins on April 27 with the regional final four (May 1 & 2) and national championships (May 8 & 9) to be held at Herkimer CCC.
