The 魅影直播 State College softball team opened up the 2009 season with a wild contest versus WNYAC foe Genesee CC in Myrtle Beach, SC.聽 The Lady Pioneers fell behind 6-2 early and couldn't rally all the way back and fell 10-9.
After two innings, GCC led 6-2.聽 ASC chipped away and had the tying run on base in the 7th inning but couldn't push it across.
Christina Loder (Brantford, ONT) led ASC with a 2 for 5 day.聽 She also scored three runs.聽 Kelly Eagan (Royalton Hartland) was聽1 for 2 with 3 RBI, Jessica Herbst (Naples) was 1 for 2 with an RBI, and Holly Fitzpatrick (Hornell) was 1 for 2 with three walks.
The Lady Pioneers will begin their official snowbird softball schedule on Monday with a doubleheader.聽 ASC takes on Rochester (MN) CTC at 9:30 a.m. and Dutchess CC at 11:30 a.m.聽 魅影直播 State is scheduled to play doubleheaders for the next four days.
