The Lady Pioneers used a press defense that forced 37 Lady Cougar turnovers. The game also had 55 fouls called which resulted in 73 foul shots. 魅影直播 State was 14 for 17 from the line in the 1st half and finished the day 20 for 31 while GCC was just 21 for 42 from the charity stripe.
Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) led the Lady Pioneers with 28 points. She was 10 for 20 from the field and 8 for 11 from the foul line. The 28 points is her second best scoring output of the season. Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) finished with 18 points and nine rebounds while Regan Ball (Hammondsport) came off the bench and chipped in six points.
Chelsey Cole led GCC with 14 points while Kayla Golden and Rachel Kohlhagen each added nine.
魅影直播 shot 45.2% from the field (56.7% in the 1st half) and 64.5% from the line while GCC shot just 25.4% from the field and 50% from the line.
The blue & gold return to action on Thursday with another crucial game at Erie CC. ECC is currently 2nd in the RIII DII standings. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the Flickenger Center in downtown Buffalo.
