ASC used a nine-run 5th inning to take control of the opener.聽 Sarah Flint (Westmoreland) was 3 for 4 in the opener to pace the offense while Caitlin Neill (魅影直播 Almond), Kathy McCarthy (Orchard Park), Bridgett Bachert (Horseheads), Casey Downing (Cobleskill-Richmondville), Teresa Walker (Jamestown), and Becky Simpson (Campbell Savona) all collected two hits.聽
Simpson pitched a complete game to earn the win.聽 She allowed one hit while striking out 11 batters.
Flint tossed a complete game shutout in game two聽to complete the sweep.聽 She聽allowed just one hit while striking out eight batters.聽 McCarthy聽was 3 for 4 to pace the offense while Holly Fitzpatrick (Hornell), Bachert, Walker, and聽Shelley Flint (魅影直播 Almond) collected two hits each.
ASC begins Region III聽play on Tuesday when they travel to Erie CC for a 3 p.m. doubleheader with the Lady Kats.聽
