The 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team started off fast and defeated Herkimer CCC 5-1 in a key Region III Division III contest.  ASC, winners of five in a row, are now 8-3 on the season.

Tiffany Fox (Canisteo Greenwood) got the scoring started just 31 seconds into the game when she followed up a shot by Holli Pierce (Livonia) that was deflected in front of the net by the HCCC goalie.

Tara Scholla (Genesee Valley) made it 2-0 with 36:34 remaining in the 1st half when she pounded a liner from over 35 yards out for her first career goal.  Shea McKee (Canisteo Greenwood) made it 3-0 just over two minutes later after getting a pretty pass from Fox.

Fox netted her second goal of the day and fourth in the last two games seven minutes into the 2nd half after getting a pass from Pierce.  McKee capped the Pioneer scoring with 21:45 remaining when she scored her second of the day after a nice pass from Abby Komarc (Horseheads).

Herkimer got on the board late with 4:45 remaining on a goal by Ashleigh Tracy.

Mo Parks (Avoca) made nine saves for ASC who outshot HCC 14 to 12.

The Lady Pioneers look to continue their recent roll on Tuesday when they host Finger Lakes CC at 4 p.m.   The Lady Lakers are currently the #5 ranked team in Division III of the NJCAA.
