John Sweeney (Barker) and Joe Seitz (Williamsville) qualified for nationals in the 10,000. Sweeney was 5th in 33:00.50 while Seitz was 7th in 33:54.76. Pete Francia (Greece Olympia) qualified in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:12.14). On the women's side Kelsey Wissert (Scio) finished 12th in the 400 in 1:05.22 to qualify.
Justin DiCarlo (Oakville, ONT) had the top individual finish of the day. He finished 2nd in the javelin with a toss of 46.52 m. The 4 x 400 relay team of Ian Marshall (Bronx/DeWitt Clinton), Kris Heidrick (Allegany Limestone), Logan Drummer (Pioneer), and Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) finished 3rd in 3:34.45. Lewis earned 4th in the 800 (1:59.86), Marshall was 6th in the 400 (52.20), and Drummer was 9th in the 800 (2:02.54).
Eddie Sparks (Horseheads) tied for 5th in the pole vault (3.95 m) while Steven Hickey (Rochester/Aquinas) tied for 9th (3.80 m). Adam Kellogg (Wellsville) earned 7th in the discus (36.45 m).
Carey Crooker (Addison) was 5th in the 800 (2:29.50) to top the women's individual finishes. Emily Fields (Red Creek) was 6th in the discus (28.02), 7th in the shot put (8.74), and 8th in the hammer (33.71), Mo Parks (Avoca) was 7th in the javelin (19.00 m), and Emily Johns (Bath) tied for 7th in the high jump (1.43 m). The 4 x 400 relay team of Wissert, Crooker, Bridget McMahon (Avoca), and Pam Breedlove (Rochester/East) finished 7th in 4:29.60.
The men scored 35.5 points on the day while the women scored 14.60.
The team returns to action on Monday when they host 魅影直播 University and Houghton College in a tri-meet beginning at 3:30 p.m.
