Men finish 8th, Women 9th at Swim Nationals

The 魅影直播 State College men's swim team finished 8th in the nation while the women finished 9th at the four day national championships in Buffalo.聽 The men's team scored 143 points while the women scored 66.

Paul Congdon (Bath), Paul Farrell (St. Francis), Ray Wright (Clyde Savannah), and Erik Kent (Jamestown) finished 6th in the 200 free relay (1:34.4).聽 Kent, Sean Valvano (Newark), Congdon, and Farrell finished 6th in the 200 medley relay (1:46.75) while Congdon, Wright, Farrell, and Kent finished 7th in the 400 free relay (3:31.48).

Heather Yaple (Holland Patent)聽recorded the top ASC finish in the 200 backstroke.聽 She finished 5th with a time of 2:28.79.聽 She also finished聽6th聽in the 500 freestyle (5:49.39) and聽6th in the 1650 freestyle (20:11.91).聽

Kaitlyn Corbett (Clarence) finished 8th in the 200 freestyle (2:09.53) and 11th in the 50 freestyle (26.96).聽

Kent finished 8th in the 100 butterfly (54.56), the 200 backstroke (2:05.80), and the 100 freestyle (49.33).

Congdon聽finished 11th in the 50 freestyle (23.53) and 11th in the 400 IM (4:46.76)and 16th in the 200 IM (2:19.58).聽

Wright finished 12th in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.56) while Valvano finished 13th (1:09.57).聽 Wright also finished 11th in the 200 breaststroke (2:32).

Indian River (FL) CC won both the men's and women's NJCAA National Titles.
