Men finish 9th, Women 10th at Track Nationals

The 魅影直播 State men's outdoor track & field team finished 9th while the women finished tied for 10th at the NJCAA Division III National Championships in Columbia, MD.

In final day action, Carey Crooker (Addison) finished 2nd in the 800 in 2:30.21 while Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) was 3rd in the men's 800 race (1:58.79).

Bridget McMahon (Avoca) was 4th in the 1,500 m (5:22.55), John Sweeney (Barker) was 5th in the 5,000 (16:21.47), Joe Seitz (Williamsville) was 7th in the 5,000 (16:33.81), and Pam Breedlove (Rochester/East) was 8th in the 100 (13.52).

The women's 4x400 relay team of Breedlove, Kelsey Wissert, McMahon, and Crooker finished 5th in 4:23.20.

The men's team scored 43 points and was just five points away from 6th place Mohawk Valley CC's 48 points.  The College of DuPage (IL) won the national championship with 132 points.

The women scored 34 points to tie with Prince George's (MD) CC.  They trailed 7th place Queensborough CC by just three point.  Herkimer CCC won the national championship by 2.5 points (112.5 total points) over Mohawk Valley.
