The 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team is represented in the NJCAA Division III poll for the third straight week.聽 The Pioneers, currently 6-2 and 6-1 vs. Division III opponents, are #6 in the latest poll.
This past week the Blue & Gold was 1-1.聽 They dropped a 1-0 overtime decision to Division I Bryant & Stratton before bouncing back for a 6-0 victory over Corning CC.
The Pioneers feature a balanced offense attack with 13 different goal scorers and four players with three or more goals on the season.聽 The defense is holding opponents to a 1.47 goals聽per game聽in front of Dan Fabiny (Wellsville) who is 5-1 with a 1.37 goals against average.
Other Region III opponents in this week's poll include: #2 Hudson Valley CC, #7 Herkimer CCC, and #11 Mohawk Valley CC.聽 Finger Lakes CC and Genesee CC are also mentioned in the other schools receiving votes.
The Blue & Gold travel to take on Division I Monroe CC this afternoon (9/24) before returning to Division III play on Saturday with a road contest at Niagara CCC.
