The Warriors jumped out to a 10-0 lead but the Pioneers mounted a rally.聽 In the 7th inning, ASC cut the lead to 11-5 and had the bases loaded before Ridgewater closed the game with two聽strikeouts.
Karl Kofmel (Ottawa, ONT.) was 2 for 2 with an RBI while David聽Mayo (Caugus, Puerto Rico) and Donny Smith聽(Brighton) collected hits and scored runs.
In the nightcap, Chris Fox (Mahopac) needed just 68 pitches to earn a complete聽game victory.聽 Fox allowed four hits and聽one earned run in the victory.聽聽He struck out three and face just three batter over the minimun in the contest.
Adalberto Vargas (Norman Thomas) was 1 for 2 with a聽run scored and a stolen base while Kevin Underhill (Somers) was 1 for 3 with an RBI double.聽
The Pioneers hit the field again on Thursday morning when they take on Prairie State (IL) College at 10 a.m. 聽
