Dustin Falkner (Letchworth) got the Pioneers on the board in teh 12th minute when he put on in on the top half of the net after getting a outlet pass from Alex Curran (Williamson).
Cayuga answered back with a Shazz Obiora goal in the 23rd minute.聽 Danny Browne gave the Spartans the lead in the 32nd minute when he bended in a long shot over the reach of the Pioneer goalie.
Jordan Angie (Marion) tied the game up in the 26th minute of the 2nd half when he connected on a pass from Tyler Paulsen (Letchworth).聽 Falkner set up the play with a long throw in and was credited with the secondary assist.
Neither team could capitalize on their chances in the final 20 minutes of regulation or in either of the two 10-minute overtimes.
ASC held a 21 to 20 advantage on shots.聽 Nick Burridge made 11 saves in net for Cayuga while Tom Vitro (Margaretville) made four saves in the first 32 minutes of the game and then Josh Kashuba (Marathon) made eight saves in the remainder of the game.
The Pioneers now await the announcement of the seedings for the Region III Division III Tournament.聽 Seedings will be announced on Wednesday and first round action will begin on Saturday at the sites of the #5 through #8 seeds.聽 The top four seeds receive byes.
