Frank Sinagra connected with Andrew Kell (28 yards) and Jamaul Boswell (13 yards) and Jordan Wilson plunged in from one yard out in the 1st half to give the Lions a 20-0 halftime lead.
魅影直播 State held the Lions on their first possession of the 2nd half but Jim Butler scooped up a fumble and scored from 10-yards out to give NCC a 27-0 lead with 12:59 remaining in the 3rd quarter.
The Pioneers comeback started minutes later (10:50) when DeAndre Johnson (Detroit, MI) connected with Josh Griffin (Englewood, NJ) on a 17-yard pass play to cap a 72-yard drive.聽 Just over five minutes later Johnson dove in from one-yard out to make it 27-14.
After stopping Nassau for the third straight possesion, 魅影直播 State was forced to punt from deep in their territory.聽 Nassau took advantage of a short field and scored on a 46-yard pass play from Sinagra to Darnel Williams with just 28 seconds left in the 3rd.
ASC answered right back with 13:04 to play when Johnson tossed聽a 39-yard scoring pass聽to Geoff Hicks (Cheektowaga/Cleveland Hill).
Both teams were forced to punt on their next possesions and 魅影直播 State had a golden opportunity with under seven minutes remaining when Matt Perry (Belle Vernon, PA) forced a fumble at the Lions own 20 yard line.聽 ASC fumbled back the ball on the very next play and Nassau was able to run off valuable time.
After another Nassau punt, Johnson capped a 89-yard drive with a 24-yard scoring pass to Robbie Fagan (Coconut Creek, FL) with just 1:11 remaining in the game.聽
An attempted on-side kick was recovered by the Lions who were able to run the clock out to secure the victory.
Johnson led the offense with 148 yards and a score rushing on 31 carries.聽 His yardage vaulted him over 1,000 yards (1,089) on the season.聽 Johnson was also 13 for 27 for 227 and three scores passing.聽 Hick led all receivers with 126 yards and a score on seven catches聽while Griffin caught four passes for 60 yards and a score.
Damion King (Detroit, MI) led the Pioneer defense with 10 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery.聽 Perry chipped in nine tackles and forced a fumble while Rod Streater (Burlington, NJ) and Robert Edmonds (Clinton, MD) each were credited with six tackles.
Sinagra finished 11 of 17 for 250 yards and three scores, Jordan Wilson caught four passes for 70 yards and rushed for 64 yards and a score on 10 carries.聽 Orlando Fisher led Nassau with 12 tackles while Richard Logan chipped in nine tackles and a sack.
魅影直播 State out-gained Nassau 391 to 351 on the day (276 to 84 in the 2nd half).聽 ASC's offense was slowed down by three turnovers, two occuring inside the Lions 20-yard line.
