魅影直播 State rushed for 452 yards as they defeated 魅影直播 University JV 51-35 in the first ever in season match-up between the two schools.  The Pioneers improve to 3-2 on the year while AU JV falls to 1-4.

Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) got the blue & gold on the board on their opening possession with a 22-yard field goal.  AU answered right back with a 10-yard pass from Tom Dzielski to Shawn Ano.

The Pioneers started to take control of the game in the 2nd and 3rd quarter putting together four scoring drives.  Greg Hampton (Uniondale) dove in from three-yards out, Hampton connected with Erik Simmons (Elmira Free) on a 35-yard scoring play, Hampton connected with Devin Simmons (Elmira Free) on a 15-yard pass play, and Anthony Nybeck (Corning West) scored from 1-yard to give the Pioneers a 31-7 lead.

The JV Saxons got back into the game with two quick scoring drives.  Case Girrantana found Jake Drexel on a 2-yard pass play and Dzielski found Justin Tabel on a 8-yard scoring strike to cut it 31-21.

Craig Zuzek (Cornwall) made it a three possession game with 11:24 remaining when he scampered in from 3-yards out.  Dzielski cut it right back three plays late when he connected with Malcolm Frazier on a 36-yard score.

Desmond Goode (Johnson Mountain, VA) answered back less that two minutes leate with a 1-yard scoring run.  Dzielski once again cut the lead back to ten, 45-35 with 6:59 remaining when he hit Boddy Broddus on a 19-yard scoring strike.

Andrew Watson (Spencerport) put the final points on the board and put the game out of reach with 1:22 remaining when he broke through the line and scored from 52-yards out.

The Pioneers finished the day with 452 yards rushing on 57 carries.  Goode led the way 144 yards on 18 carries, Zuzek had 68 yards on four carries, and Watson had 59 yards on three carres.  ASC averaged 7.9 yards per rush.

Hampton finished 10 for 19 for 147 yards and two scores.  Devin Simmons had six catches for 104 while his brother Erik had two catches for 39 yards.

Brandt Rice (Ft. Myers, FL) led the defense with six tackles while Alonzo Joyner (Queens/Information Technology) had five tackles.  Anthony Turner (Syracuse/Corcoran) recorded three sacks and four tackles on the day.  Neicefe Rieddick (Syracuse/Bishop Grimes) broke up four passes and intercepted a pass.

Dzielski finished 18 for 32 for 255 yards and four scores for the JV Saxons.  Broddus had 92 yards receiving on five cathches and Matt Wheeler had four catches for 57 yards.  AU was held to just seven net yards rushing on the day.

The Pioneers accumulated 631 total yards of offense on the day while AU JV had 327.  The Saxons did set up in good field position most of the day due to 214 yards of kick-off returns.

ASC returns to Pioneer Stadium on Saturday when they host Louisburg (NC) College.  Kickoff for the final home game of the 2011 season is slated for Noon.
