The Pioneers got solid efforts from all sides of the ball.聽 The offense accumulated 391 total yards (194 rushing and 197 receiving), the defense held Williamson to just 119 yards and forced one turnover, and the special teams set up scores with 81 return yards on the day.
Geoff Hicks (Cleveland Hill) connected with Jason Brand (Springfield, VA) on a 35-yard pass to cap a seven play 85-yard drive to open up the contest.
DeAndre Johnson (Detroit, MI) scored on a 31-yard rush at 14:33 of the 2nd quarter to make it 14-0 after a 38-yard punt return by Robbie Fagan (Coconut Creek, FL).聽 Brand added to the lead with 5:31 remaining when he raced around the corner from three yards out for his 2nd score of the day.聽 Hicks capped the 1st half scoring as time expired when he scored from six yards out on a bootleg.聽聽 PAT attempts were blocked on the final two scoring drives.
Johnson second score of the game a 78-yard run at 12:48 of the 4th quarter was the lone points of the 2nd half.
Johnson recorded his first 100-yard game wearing the Pioneers jersey finishing with 150 yards and two scores on 13 carries.聽 Griffin also recorded his first 100-yard receiving game finishing with 101 yards on four catches.
Hicks was 8 for 14 for 191 yards and a TD pass and a rushing score while Brand finished with two scores and 49 yards of total offense.
Matt Perry (Belle Vernon, PA), Michael Gee (Englewood, NJ), and Brendan Walker (Bridgeport, CT) each finished with nine tackles for ASC.聽 Gee recorded five tackles for a loss including a sack.聽 Damion King (Detroit, MI) chipped in seven tackles while Robert Edmonds (Clinton, MD) intercepted a pass.
Matt Moccia led the Mechanics defense with six tackles and a sack while Gary Lazaro, John Conneen, and Joe Link all finished with five tackles.聽 Steven Powers finished 10 for 37 for 72 yards on the offensive side while Curt Schofield finished with 19 yards rushing and 13 yards receiving.
The Pioneers jump right back into Northeast Football Conference play next weekend when they host Hudson Valley CC.聽 Opening kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at 魅影直播 State.
