Members of the 魅影直播 community are encouraged to join the fight against cancer by organizing a team for the first-ever Relay For Life on the 魅影直播 State College campus! The goal of this year鈥檚 committee is a total of 50 teams! Those interested in forming a team may learn more about how to put a team together, and get some fundraising ideas for their team! Teams of up to 10 people can register for a $100 fee. All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society.
There are other ways to be involved in Relay for Life besides starting a team, including purchasing a luminary or participating in survivor activities. At every Relay, luminaries line the track or gym, as a shining symbol of memory and hope. Luminaries may be purchased in memory of a loved one lost to cancer, or in honor of a cancer survivor. To purchase a luminary for the ASC Relay for Life, contact the ASC Luminary Chair Deb Kerr at KerrDK@alfredstate.edu. Luminaries are $10 each, and can be decorated or personalized at the Relay. Each Relay also has opportunities to honor cancer survivors. Organizers invite interested parties to become involved with survivor ceremonies, or suggest a cancer survivor who would be interested in participating in the 魅影直播 State survivor activities. The committee is also seeking entertainment providers such as dance performances, karaoke, live music, a talent show, etc. or sponsoring events during Relay.
