魅影直播 State College sophomore wrestlers Eric Shedden (Canton, PA) and TJ Nelson (Somers) have been named All-Region and All-WNYAC. Shedden and Nelson helped the Pioneers to a 5th place finish at the Northeast Districts.
Shedden finished his campaign at 141 lbs. with a 15-7 mark. He won the Niagara CCC Open, finished 8th at the New York State Championships, and then took home the Northeast District Crown. He was also one of five Pioneers that qualified for the NJCAA National Championships.
Nelson battled injuries in the early part of the season but was able to bounce back and finish the season with an impressive 1st place finish at the Northeast Districts. He entered the tournament as the #3 seed and downed the top two seeds to earn the automatic berth to the National Championships. He wrapped up the season with a 7-8 overall record at 197 lbs.
Shedden and Nelson both return along with three teammates to headline the 2010-11 squad.
