魅影直播 State College wrestler Eric Shedden (Canton, PA) was named the NJCAA recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Athletes.  Shedden is the 14th ASC recipient of the award since its inception in 2004.

Shedden completed his first season as a member of the Pioneer wrestling team.  He was named 1st team All-Region and 1st team All-WNYAC after winning the 141 lb. weight class.  He qualified for the NJCAA National Championships and finished the season with a 15-7 overall record.

During the season, Shedden was undefeated in conference action and won the Niagara Open title.  He also finished 8th and earned All-State honors at the annual New York State Championships held in the middle of January.

Shedden also excels in the classroom.  He holds a 3.71 overall GPA.

The SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Athletes is given to one athlete per sport in the state system annually.  Awards are given out to NJCAA, NCAA Division I, and NCAA Division III athletes across the state.
