Simpson struck out 12 batters in the opener while聽walking just three.聽 The lone run scored in the 7th inning after two Pioneer errors.聽 Simpson is now 5-5 on the year.
Sarah Flint (Westmoreland) scored the first run of the game in the 2nd inning when she reached on an error, advanced to second on a wild pitch, advanced to third on a passed ball, and scored on a wild pitch.
In the 8th inning, Simpson led off with a single.聽 She stole second and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Holly Fitzpatrick (Hornell).聽 She came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Caitlin Neill (魅影直播 Almond).聽 Simpson was the lone Lady Pioneer with multiple hits finishing 2 for 3 in the game.
In the nightcap, Kayla Yager struck out nine batters and didn't allow a hit in five innings to earn the win for the Lady Lazers.聽 OCC scored three runs in the 3rd, four in the 4th, and two in the 5th to put the game out of reach.
ASC is now 7-9 on the year (4-3 Region III Division III) and is scheduled to host Niagara CCC on Tuesday afternoon in a 3 p.m. doubleheader.
