÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomores Anthia Smith (Elmira Free) and Tiffany McLaughlin (Wellsville) have been named NJCAA Division II All-Americans.  Smith was selected to the 2nd team while McLaughlin was a 3rd team selection. 

Smith and McLaughlin are the 2nd and 3rd women's basketball players in Coach Gina Boyd's tenure to be named NJCAA All-Americans (Nichole Tyler was named 3rd team All-American last season).

Smith finished the year averaging 17.5 points per game and 13.3 rebounds.  Her 454 points is 7th all-time in a season for a Lady Pioneers while her 346 rebounds is 2nd most in a season.  On the year, she recorded 20 double-doubles including eight consecutive double-doubles in close out the season.

Smith's 17.5 points per game ranked her 21st in NJCAA Division II while her 13.3 rebounds per game ranks her 2nd.

Smith had a season high 28 points in a victory over University of Rochester JV and grabbed a season high 26 rebounds twice versus CC of Rhode Island and Finger Lakes CC.  She had 11 games in which she scored more the 20 points and nine games where she grabbed more than 15 rebounds.

For her career she finishes with 762 points (6th best all time) and 496 rebounds.

Smith had been previously named Region III Division II Player of the Year, 1st team All-Region, and 1st team All-WNYAC.

McLaughlin led the Lady Pioneers and Region III Division II in scoring with 19.3 points per game.  She also grabbed 128 rebounds, passed out 50 assists, and was credited with 30 steals.  Her 501 points is 3rd all-time in a season and her 896 career points is 2nd most all-time.

Her 19.3 points per game ranked her 10th in NJCAA Division II while her 83.4% foul shooting is 9th best.

McLaughlin had a season high of 35 points versus Jamestown and had a season high 10 boards at Dean College.  In all but two games this year, she finished with double-figure points, in 12 games she scored more than 20, and in three games she had 30.

McLaughlin is a two-time All-Region 1st team selection and 1st team All-WNYAC selection.  She also was named to the Region III Division II Tournament All-Tournament team the past two seasons.

A-State finished the season with a 17-9 record and advanced to the Region III Division II Semifinals.  During Smith's and McLaughlin's two-years at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, the Lady Pioneers were 36-19
