The 魅影直播 State College indoor track & field team had a strong showing at the Syracuse University Invitational on Saturday. The Pioneers competed versus a field that featured Division I and Division III competition.
Ian Marshall (Bronx/DeWitt Clinton) finished 10th in the 400 m (52.26) and ran the 200 m in 23.92 to pace the Pioneers. Peter Francia (Greece Olympia) ran the 3,000 m in 9:22.35, Steven Hickey (Rochester/Aquinas) leapt 12'9" in the pole vault and Logan Drummer (Pioneer) ran the 800 in 2:02.94.
Carey Crooker (Addison) finished 15th in the 1-mile (5:31.61) and ran the 800 in a season best 2:29.73. Bridget McMahon (Avoca) ran the 1,500 in 2:37.90.
The Pioneers will spend next weekend at Cornell University. On Friday the team will compete in the Region III Heptathlon/Pentathlon while on Saturday the team will race in the Cornell Kane Invitational.
