魅影直播 State College is pleased to announce that the campus community will host State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor Dr. Nancy L. Zimpher at a variety of events later this month.
Chancellor Zimpher is scheduled to attend the University Faculty Senate鈥檚 156th Plenary meeting, Oct. 21-23. Defined by the SUNY Policies of the Board of Trustees, University Faculty Senate is "the official agency through which the University Faculty engages in the governance of the University." It is concerned with System-wide academic affairs, and is composed of representatives from the state-operated campuses as well as SUNY System Administration. 魅影直播 State College and the NYS College of Ceramics at 魅影直播 University have been represented on University Faculty Senate since the inception of the System in 1948. Each campus continues to elect a representative to University Senate, and these senators participate in university-wide governance, reporting back to their campus governance bodies on activities at the system level. 魅影直播 State College and the College of Ceramics at 魅影直播 University have co-hosted plenary sessions of University Faculty Senate every 10 or so years since 1971, on a recurring basis.
Additionally, Zimpher is scheduled to moderate a public forum on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 2-4 p.m. at the College鈥檚 sammonrl@alfredstate.edu.
Finally, Zimpher will attend the college鈥檚 annual civic engagement opportunities and activities undertaken by ASC students.
