Ryan Speciale (Corning West) scored with 10:03 remaining in the 2nd quarter to close the Tribune lead to 8-5 but the Pioneers would be unable to find the back of the net the rest of the way.
Speciale led ASC with two goals while Tyler Baird (Corning West), Tony Micelotta (Irondequoit), and Chase Bailey (Corning West) all tallied once. James Moss (Hilton) picked up an assist. Jon Shumway (Oneonta) made nine saves in net while Randy Kryszak (Orchard Park) made five.
Matt Osgood led MCC with six goals and an assist while Nate Delone finished with four goals and three assists.
The Pioneers head to Finger Lakes CC on Friday for a 4 p.m. contest with the Lakers.
