Nassau got on the board first with 14:16 remaining in the second quarter when Craig Geoghan rushed in from 12-yards out to cap a 15-play, 88 yard drive. They added to their lead five minutes later following a blocked punt when Steven Miller ran in from 17-yards out.
魅影直播's offense didn't get much going in the first half but in the third quarter the team drove the ball deep into Lions territory four straight drives and only could muster seven points. Two drives were ended by John Saati interceptions inside the red zone and the third was ended following a missed 32-yard field goal attempt.
The Pioneers lone scoring drive of the day was capped off by a 22-yard run by Sir Aaron Taylor (Lincoln Hall). The run finished off a 3-play, 58 yard drive at the 10:09 mark of the third quarter.
Nassau was able to put the game away with 7:12 remaining when Miller scored again from 17-yards out.
Taylor finished with 53 yards on 17 carries and was 10 for 24 for 130 yards passing. Rod Streater (Burlington, NJ) caught three passes for 38 yards while Anthony Bright (Philadelphia, PA) had 47 yards receiving.
Nakita Myles led the Lions with 73 yards rushing on 17 carries while Miller finished with 30 yards and two scores on four carries. Frank Sinagra was 10 for 18 for 85 yards passing.
Chadd Parker (Erie, PA) led ASC with 10 tackles while Ricky DeJesus (Englewood, NJ), Kyle Ricks (Alexandria, VA), and Drew Hammond (Walton) add finished with eight. John Zappolo (Sewanhaka) returned close to home and registered seven tackles and blocked a field goal attempt.
Siriki Diabate led Nassau with 10 tackles while Saati finished the day with three interceptions.
The blue & gold wrap up the 2009 season on Friday evening when they host Erie CC. Kick-off at Pioneer Stadium is scheduled for 6 p.m.
