greeted each day by a sculpture by Glenn Zweygardt, professor of sculpture
emeritus, NYS College of Ceramics School of Art and Design.聽 The large-scale, mixed media piece is on loan
from the artist as part of a beautification initiative at the Wellsville
campus.
Zweygardt served the College of Ceramics for 38 years.聽 A faculty member since 1969, Zweygardt is
nationally acclaimed for his large-scale, mixed-media sculptures.聽 In addition to his teaching, Zweygardt works
independently in his own studio.聽 He has
shown works in many selected solo exhibits and collected many awards and
honors.聽 His pieces are also contained in
many permanent collections.
