Welcoming all employees to the start of the spring 2016 semester, ÷ČÓ°Ö±²„ State President Dr. Skip Sullivan in his Opening Remarks speech Monday encouraged all faculty and staff to ā€œget around toā€ completing tasks on their ā€œto-doā€ lists.

Speaking about ā€œbucketā€ lists, Sullivan urged employees to accomplish all of the things they would like to do before they pass away, whether it’s starting a business, picking up a hobby, or traveling. He also mentioned making a list of professional goals that would benefit not only themselves, but students, programs, and the college as a whole.

ā€œCarry this gift with you to remind you to get around to it,ā€ the president said. ā€œGet around to something that has to do with change.ā€

Sullivan finished his remarks by reminding everyone that they are Pioneers, not settlers.

ā€œI’m blessed to be your president,ā€ he said. ā€œI pray that even today, you’ll get around to it. Make a difference. Go Pioneers.ā€

The president also gave an update of ÷ČÓ°Ö±²„ State, mentioning new programs and those in progress; facilities being upgraded or under construction, such as the Advanced Manufacturing Center on the Wellsville campus; updating the college’s Strategic Plan; accomplishments; goals, or ā€œscary stuffā€; and equipment requests that have been approved.
