Financial expert and 魅影直播 State College faculty member Matthew Burr recently spoke with Elmira TV news station WETM 18 about student loan debt, as well as his new book on how to pay off this debt to gain financial freedom.
Burr, an adjunct instructor in the Business Department and owner of Burr Consulting, is the author of a new book titled, 鈥淪lay the Student Loan Dragon: Tips and Tricks on How to Conquer the Student Loan Game.鈥 The book is a follow-up from Burr鈥檚 first work, 鈥$74,000 in 24 Months: How I killed my student loans (and you can too!).鈥
鈥淚 can鈥檛 stress enough the freedom it is to be debt-free,鈥 Burr says during his interview with WETM. 鈥淎fter I paid off my first master鈥檚 degree, the $74,000 in 23 months, I did have an influx of cash. I saved a significant amount of money, and without that money and without that savings, I would never have been able to lay the foundation to build my business and to start a business.鈥
