Nine members of the Bethesda Foundation visited 魅影直播 State Thursday to get a first-hand look at one of the Nursing department鈥檚 high-fidelity simulation labs in the Physical and Health Sciences building.
The group watched as senior nursing students Chelsea Goodwill, of Falconer, N.Y., and Jessica Matava, of Ontario, N.Y., administered care to a SimMan 3G 庐 manikin, which simulates an actual hospital patient.
Phil Loree, president of the Bethesda Foundation, said of the simulation, 鈥淚 think it鈥檚 great. The ability to use a manikin like that is fantastic.鈥
Barbara Arnault, a member of the foundation, echoed Loree鈥檚 statements, saying, 鈥淚t鈥檚 wonderful. We are so glad we鈥檙e able to make contributions that help out with these very expensive projects.鈥
The Bethesda Foundation, according to its website, is a non-profit charitable organization devoted to the funding and support of health-related projects and scholarships in the Hornell area. The foundation provides roughly $15,000 a year for numerous scholarships at 魅影直播 State, typically for nursing students from Allegany, Steuben, or Livingston counties.
