魅影直播 State remembers the 21st anniversary of September 11 and wishes to honor the victims and their families. We must also remember the heroic efforts of first responders who answered the call while endangering their lives.

Flags on campus will be lowered to half-staff. While the anniversary falls on Sunday, we encourage all faculty, staff, and students to pause and participate in the national moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., the time that the first tower was struck.  

Student organization UJIMA will be hosting a 9/11 Tribute honoring victims, families, veterans, and military figures affected by the attacks on September 11, 2001. The event will start on 3 p.m. on Sunday, 9/11 at the SLC Small Event. . All students, staff, and faculty are welcome to this event. 

You might consider ways to serve others during this time of remembrance. The Corporation for National and Community Service outlines . On campus, one way to help is to donate needed items for The Plate Food Pantry (non-perishable food/personal care items) and the Pioneer Exchange thrift store (warm coats, scarves, clothing in general). Donations for both may be dropped off in the donation bin in the first-floor hallway of Pioneer Center.
