The 魅影直播 State Athletic Department recently wrapped up their most successful fall season since the college started competing in Division III of the NCAA. The Pioneers won two conference championships, finished as conference runner up in three sports, and had an overall winning percentage of .625.

The men鈥檚 soccer and the football team had breakthrough seasons. Both teams won their conference championship and made their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
- Men鈥檚 soccer finished the year 17-4-1, had five players named to the All-AMCC team, and Head Coach Gabe Kuhn was named AMCC Coach of the Year.
- The football team claimed the ECFC title with a 3-1 conference record and finished the year with an overall record of 6-5. They had nineteen players named to the All-ECFC team.
The volleyball team finished the year 18-9 and fell just short of making another trip to the NCAA Tournament. The team was 10-1 at home, finished second in the AMCC, and had three players named All-Conference.
Both the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 cross country teams ran to second place finishes at the AMCC Championships. In that race five women and two men earned All-Conference honors.
A pair of women鈥檚 soccer players earned All-AMCC honors to round out the 36 student athletes honored with All-Conference honors. .
Success on the field is coming immediately after student athletes posted a program best GPA of 3.07 during the spring 2023 semester.
History was made on Nov. 4 when the women鈥檚 wrestling team competed for the first time at the Tiffin Open. The stage is also set for the debut of the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 lacrosse teams during the 2024-25 school year.
魅影直播 State is eager to continue to move forward. To further enhance the athletic facilities, the college鈥檚 strategic plans emphasize the need to secure funding for a field house to provide more indoor space for student athletes including a new pool.
Recent construction projects that have been completed included new turf and LED lights at Pioneer Stadium, the official opening of the strength room in Orvis, new batting cages for baseball and softball, and the resurfacing of the Orvis gymnasium floor.
鈥淚t is a great time to be a Pioneer,鈥 commented 魅影直播 State President Dr. Steve Mauro. 鈥淥ur student athletes continue to achieve great things in and out of the classroom, we are starting new programs, upgrading facilities, and we are developing plans for a field house to continue the growth for not only athletics but for the whole college community.鈥
The winter season is underway, and the success looks to be continuing with early season action for basketball, swimming and diving, and wrestling.
