Brandon Clark (Lockwood, NY) has always enjoyed working on cars, trucks, and tractors with his father and was drawn to mechanical engineering. The mystery of the electrical side led him to double major in both mechanical engineering technology and electrical engineering.

“I chose ��Ӱֱ�� State because it is a smaller campus, which is more of the style I am used to. My success in high school allowed me to get scholarships and made college more affordable.”

“I always kind of easily identified mechanical problems because I could see it but the electrical issues I kind of struggled with. Instead of running away from that I decided to pursue another degree to further my education and widen my scope of engineering expertise.”

Brandon’s experiences in the classroom have been enhanced by the hands-on opportunities and the professors he has learned from. “I love the labs that we get to apply what we were learning in the classrooms. Working on projects with other classmates really helped instill what I learned from the professors. The professors really care about your education and will help you any wat that they can.”

Brandon has enjoyed being part of the Baja team. “I really enjoyed building the car, designing in CAD, and just working with friends. It was a lot of fun tinkering on stuff and applying what we have learned and learning new things.”

��Ӱֱ�� has opened opportunities for Brandon. “I have internships and now have a job lined up with General Motors. These opportunities have propelled me to apply what I have learned even further outside the classroom.”

“The friendships I have made here will last throughout my time working. I value the relationships I have built with faculty, friends, and even my lab partner, who has turned out to be my fiancé.”

Brandon is leaving ��Ӱֱ�� with many great things including a pair of degrees and his future wife.
