Ruok鈥橳ain Williams (Seattle, WA) was drawn to electrical work from an early age and is excited to see where his electrical construction and maintenance electrician education at 魅影直播 State will lead him.

鈥淚 really ended up loving electrical work back when I was a kid and really saw myself working in the electrical industry. I remember taking apart my Play Station and finding a ribbon cable that was disconnected in my console and connecting it and seeing it work just fine.鈥

Ruok鈥橳ain moved across the country from the west coast and found the right fit at 魅影直播 State鈥檚 Northland campus in Buffalo. 鈥淢y favorite part of the program is the application we do in lab of what we learn in lecture. We can apply what we are learning. We take the drawings and the math and build a finished project. It is amazing to stand back and look at your work.鈥

The instructors he has worked with have kept him on the right path. 鈥淭he professors have been the driving force behind me. When I did not believe in myself, they were there telling me to keep working. They helped me gain more confidence.鈥

The relationships he has built at Northland has motivated Ruok鈥橳ain. 鈥淚t is just a melting pot of a bunch of different individuals who are trying to achieve the same thing.鈥

His success has him looking to learn even more. 鈥淚 have been accepted into the construction supervision bachelor鈥檚 program. I can go and expand myself beyond just Northland. I can build skills that can transfer beyond the electrical field.
