Amazing fall weather highlighted ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s Homecoming Family Weekend events. Pioneer students, families, friends, and alumni enjoyed a wide variety of events.  

“What a great weekend,” commented Homecoming co-chair Calsey Bump. “We had amazing weather to enjoy all the activities that we had planned. Thanks to all the students, families, and alumni that joined us.”  

The blue & gold dinner at the Terrace kicked off the weekend on Thursday. Students were also able to enjoy casino games, a sand volleyball tournament, and a bonfire. 

Friday night featured Foodie Friday, a pep rally organized by the cheerleaders, a bonfire, the band “Sweet Degenerates,” and fireworks. The Rainbow Union’s SLC Takeover put visitors in the Halloween spirit. 

The Courage of Carly 5K and the wrestling open practice at Pioneer Stadium started off the activities on Saturday. The annual car show, basket raffle, and tailgate brunch led up to kickoff of the football game. 

The football team earned a shutout victory over Dean College while the volleyball team swept past La Roche. ��Ӱֱ�� Voices performed the National Anthem, the cheerleaders kept spirits high and combined with the Dance Team for a halftime performance. 

Carnival activities, horse rides, and performances from the ��Ӱֱ�� State Rock Bands started towards the end of the football game. Visitors were also able to try out the new disc golf course, participate in Family Feud with Brothers 2 Brothers, and roller skate. 

��Ӱֱ��’s Got Talent highlighted Saturday evening’s events. The ��Ӱֱ�� State Rock Band took home took home the title in an event that featured thirteen acts. 

Weekend activities wrapped up with a family brunch in the Central Dining Hall and Fierce Flag Football on Sunday. 

“We are so thankful to our Homecoming Family Weekend committee and all the clubs and organizations that participated for making this weekend so special,” commented Mary Perkins, co-chair of the Homecoming committee. “We are already look forward to next year.”
