Dear ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Community,

Today and every day we thank those who have served or are serving to protect the freedoms we enjoy. At ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State, we have veterans that teach, work, and learn.

We have several opportunities throughout the day to participate in our acknowledgement and celebration of those that have served on our behalf:

  • At 11:50 a.m., the Hinkle Bell Tower will play the Armed Forces Medley in honor of all Veterans.
  • There will be snacks and refreshments in new Veteran Lounge (located in the H Building) on the Wellsville campus.
  • A Veterans Day Celebration will be held in conjunction with the Village of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ University from 12:15 – 1:10 p.m. at Nevins Theater (on the AU campus).
  • ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Military Affairs and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ University Military Affairs will co-host a dinner at the Knight Club Theater (on the AU campus) from 5:30 – 7 p.m.
  • Three ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State VA work study students are starting a student group, ASC Veterans United. An interest meeting is scheduled for Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m. in the Veterans Lounge in EJ Brown Hall.

I ask that you take time to reflect on all the great men and women that have and continue to serve and remember to thank them for their service not just today but every opportunity that you get.

Respectfully,
Dr. Steven Mauro, Ph.D.
President
