The 魅影直播 State men's lacrosse team secured the AMCC Championship with a 19-5 victory over #3 seed Hilbert.

It was an all-around team performance from ASC in today's victory. Griffin Doan and Dom Rosettie both led the day with a total of 10 goals (five each) between the two. Mike Wojcik secured four of his own while Brady Nugent netted two goals. Ryan Batson, Jesse Young and Luca Campanelli added one of their own as well. Matthew Burris totaled 12 saves on the day and a big win in the net.

In the first period, four Pioneers found the net for a total of six goals jumped out to a 6-0 lead. Rosettie notched a hat-trick within the first 15 minutes of play while Wojcik, Doan and Batson all tacked on a goal of their own.

Hilbert outscored the Pioneers 3-2 in the second quarter. Rosettie and Doan netted goals as the Pioneers led 8-3 at half.

The Hawks started the third period off with their fourth goal but 20 later, Nugent scored the first of two two consecutive goals to put the Pioneer up by six goals, 10-4. Hilbert answered back but the Pioneers closed out the third stanza with the final two goals to build their lead to 12-5.

The Pioneers left no doubt by scoring seven unanswered goals in the fourth quarter. Doan netted his fourth while Wojcik completed his hat-trick. 

Matthew Burris, Griffin Doan and Mike Wojcik were awarded AMCC All-Tournament team following the contest.

魅影直播 State, playing in their first season since 2020, is now 9-6 overall and finished AMCC play undefeated, 3-0 and 2-0 in the postseason.
