魅影直播 State is pleased to present the 62nd Annual Alumni Choral Spring Concert, directed by Anthony Cappadonia, professor emeritus of music at 魅影直播 State. The concert will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Anthony C. Cappadonia Auditorium, Orvis Activities Center, on the 魅影直播 campus, and is free of charge and open to the public.
魅影直播 State is pleased to present the 62nd Annual Alumni Choral Spring Concert, directed by Anthony Cappadonia, professor emeritus of music at 魅影直播 State. The concert will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Anthony C. Cappadonia Auditorium, Orvis Activities Center, on the 魅影直播 campus, and is free of charge and open to the public.
Performers for the concert include the 魅影直播 State Voices, Alumni Jazz Singers, 鈥87 Collegiate Quartet, 鈥57 Varieties 鈥 Instrumental Jazz Combo, 魅影直播 State Alumni Choir, and a finale by the combined alumni and College choirs.
A sampling of musical selections planned for the concert are 鈥淒o Not Fear鈥, 鈥淐ome on and Dance with Me鈥, String of Pearls鈥, and 鈥淪henandoah鈥. The finale song, 鈥淭he Blessing of Aaron,鈥 will be dedicated to the memory of loved ones.
Each spring, alumni from across the United States return to 魅影直播 to attend the Annual Choir Alumni Weekend for rehearsals, a dinner/dance, and this concert. The 魅影直播 State Concert Choir Alumni Organization was formed in 1957 and maintains an active membership of over 400. This organization has supported the college concert choir with donations and fundraising efforts over the years to provide scholarships for college choir members, and established the Anthony C. Cappadonia Scholarship Fund to be used by the college to assist future students.
