The Allegany County Industrial Development Agency (ACIDA) has executed a contract to build Crossroads Development, a multi-million-dollar project that will serve Allegany County colleges, businesses, and visitors along Interstate 86 at the Belmont exit. 

Officer Histed is familiar with the Southern Tier, having grown up in Belfast and graduated from Belfast Central School in 2006. He attended ��Ӱֱ�� State before moving on to SUNY Brockport, where he earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in history in 2010.

Dr. Craig Clark, vice president for Economic Development at ��Ӱֱ�� State, said, “The 2017 STEM Institute at ��Ӱֱ�� State was the perfect place to hear Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul and her passion for STEM education. This is the No. 1 topic across the United States and with economic developers in New York State.”

“We are extremely proud to be included in this listing of the best colleges with veterinary technology programs in the country,” said Dr. Phil Schroeder, chair of the Agriculture and Veterinary Technology Department at ��Ӱֱ�� State.

��Ӱֱ�� State will expand lunch fine dining to five days a week and will be open one night per month for unique themed events including both buffet and fine dining options.

Efforts to help college students cope with stress, have a better focus in class, and be more productive, have earned ��Ӱֱ�� State a bronze award in a national competition.

The students’ final work will be featured on campus Friday, July 28 in the Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery (third floor of the Engineering Technology Building) at 11 a.m., and during a screening in the Orvis Activities Center at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend both the gallery and the screening. 

The college has added a chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success to its more than 100 clubs and organizations. The chapter will launch during the beginning of the 2017-2018 academic year.

To provide a new facility that enables students to learn about motorcycle and power sports diagnosis and repair, ��Ӱֱ�� State has construction crews in high gear to meet a fall deadline.

��Ӱֱ�� State has earned a $75,000 manufacturing innovation grant for the further development of fuel cells, and to assist a western New York company add a projected 15 jobs in the next four years.
