Aaron Aumick loves learning all of the different aspects of the construction world at 魅影直播 State, from drywall, to interior surfaces, to rough framing.
In his major, Aaron is being educated on how to build a house from the foundation to the last shingle on the roof. One very notable house Aaron helped construct was Team 魅影直播鈥檚 entry in the 2015 US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon, which challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive.
鈥淐ompetitions like the Solar Decathlon are putting us one step ahead of everybody else and allowing us to see how green energy works.鈥
In recognition for his hard work and achievements, Aaron was named the School of Applied Technology鈥檚 2016 recipient of the Dean鈥檚 Award for Academic Excellence. Through real-world experiences and receiving live, hands-on training every day, he is very confident about his future after graduation.
