The college鈥檚 Esports team earned a gold medal in the 2020 Empire State Winter Games in the Adirondacks. Competing in the game 鈥淥verwatch,鈥� 魅影直播 State defeated Louisiana Tech University, Stockton, Johnson & Wales University Providence Campus, and the University of Albany to take home the gold.

Riko Hayano, an interdisciplinary studies major from Osaka, Japan, represented 魅影直播 State at the Newman Civic Fellows Annual Convening at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the US Senate in Boston.

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor emeritus of psychology, is the author of an article that appeared in a recent issue of Paperback Parade, a quarterly publication for paperback readers and collectors. The article is titled 鈥淩evisiting Peyton Place.鈥�

Terry Morgan, emeritus professor of English and Humanities, spoke at the 11 th Annual Burns Supper in Andover. The Burns Suppers are held throughout the world to commemorate the birth of Robert Burns, Scotland鈥檚 national poet.

Hunter DeJonge, a construction management student from Clifton Springs, was named the recipient of the Reilly Family Memorial Scholarship by the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA).

Brett Talbot, assistant director of Human Resources, received the Excellence in Human Resources Practice award at the State University of New York Human Resources Association (SUHRA) Conference.

Trish Haggerty has been named the new interim executive assistant to the president. She had previously worked in the Office of Institutional Advancement since 2016.

Robert Privitera , (left) residence director, was honored with the 2020 魅影直播 State Faculty/Staff Spirit of Service Award.

Jasmine LaRocca, an interdisciplinary studies major from Shirley, was named the recipient of the 2020 魅影直播 State Student Spirit of Service Award.

Six construction management students were inducted into the Zeta V Chapter of the Sigma Lambda Chi international construction management honor society at 魅影直播 State. These students were Matthew Cotton, of Elma; Hunter DeJonge, of Clifton Springs; Chase Felton, of Byron; Korey Hulme, of Warsaw; Le Nguyen, of Hanoi, Vietnam; and Steven Mignoli, of Fredonia.

Eight members of the 魅影直播 State Archery team took home medals at the 51st USA Archery Indoor Nationals in Lancaster, PA, including Chloe Miles, Ethan Frederick, Nathan Summerville, Jacob Houseknecht, Dylan Krise, Jay Lawrence, Jacob Patanella, and Simon Bond. In addition to their success at the Nationals, Lawrence and Miles were also named to the 2020 Academic All-American Team.
