In the Electrical Construction and Maintenance Electrician AOS, you’ll gain the skills to power your future by learning electrical theory, applying the National Electrical Code, and getting hands-on experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting circuits and systems. You’ll even build real projects on and off campus, culminating with work in automated systems that use PLCs, pneumatics, and process controls.

Application Deadlines

Students are encouraged to apply prior to Dec. 1 in order to be included in the priority review process. Students will be notified of their decision by mid-January and will be required to submit their enrollment deposit by March 1.

Completed applications received after Dec. 1 will be included in the traditional rolling admissions process.

SKILLS YOU'LL LEARN

In electrical construction and maintenance, you’ll learn to interpret the National Electrical Code, apply math to trade problems, and design wiring systems for residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You’ll gain practical experience in installation, troubleshooting, and renewable energy systems while building the skills to safely power today’s buildings. Training prepares you for careers as an electrician or in related electrical fields where safety, precision, and applied knowledge are essential.
