What is the typical process to receive CPL?
- Once the student is matriculated, they will contact the Center for Extended Learning with the request for CPL. They will provide Extended Learning the type of CPL they are looking for and any supporting documentation they have for Extended Learning to determine if there is a path to CPL.
- If Extended Learning determines there is a potential path towards CPL, they will contact the Academic Department in which the CPL aligns and speak with a CPL Coordinator at the department level to ensure the CPL is appropriately documented. If a portfolio assessment is determined as the correct form of CPL, the evaluation criteria will be given to the student, the student will submit the portfolio and the portfolio will be evaluated. Students will pay the appropriate non-refundable fee at this time.
- The CPL Coordinator for the academic department you are working with will notify Extended Learning what credit should be given and Extended Learning will notify Student Records to add this credit to the student transcript.
